    [Misc] LJ 4250 wrinkling envelopes

4250 wrinkles the trailing edge of envelopes. Replaced the fuser and it still does it. Feeding from MF bypass. Using paper path test. Preprinted and plain both do it. Take them to a nearby 4015 and they are perfect.????

Silly question, but are you using tray 1 and is it set to Envelope?
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Wrinkling envelopes is often a problem with the media (the envelopes) having air trapped inside as it feeds through the fuser. Check the corners of the envelope to see if the folds and join at the edge has small holes to allow the air to escape while printing.
        Try another brand of envelope.

Brother has several service bulletins relating to this problem with their machines.

yes. I have the feeling the media is not made "flat". The 4015 has a different fuser and uses less pressure than the 4250 and the 4250 gathers the loose paper at the trailing edge of the envelope and just irons it out. Sort of like rolling a tube of tooth paste. Thanks!
