    P4015 dark left edge

I have a P4015 that is getting intermittent dark edges along the left side of the page. I've tried new drum/toner cartridges. The maint kit is new. I can't see any ground springs that are bent or anything like that. I've attached pics of the edge of pages, transfer roller & of the page/machine that I stopped in the middle of the print. Firmware is up to date. I googled it and found some other similar problems, but no fix. Any input is appreciated.

    Hope that helps !

Looks like toner dumping. Are the cartridges OEM?
Make sure you upgrade the firmware.
Another possibility is faulty power. Make sure printer is plugged directly into a known good outlet. You might have a power supply that is going or has grounding issues.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

After another visit to the customers, I think the problem may be coming from their reporting system. There were pages on the printer that had printed from other work stations that were fine. The reports that are automatically generated from one specific computer all had the dark edge. We're going to troubleshoot further.
      Hope that helps !

Ok, with the help of the customer, we've determined that this only happens when duplexing. Single sided is fine. I tore it apart & cleaned everything and it still does it. I'm going back to update the firmware. There's nothing in the update that says it'll fix it. Is there a different voltage when duplexing vs single sided pages ?
        Hope that helps !

          Update to the thread:
I got a new transfer roller as the maint kit only had 4% of the life used. No call backs & it been almost a week. Talked to a tech at Depot International and he said the machine actually stops for a split second when doing single sided, but duplexing is a continuous run. So single sided, the transfer roller has a second to discharge.
          Hope that helps !
