    [CQ] Hp 3600 firmware update

I have tried reading all the information I can get on doing this seemingly easy operation. I download the file and it's an .rfu file with a read me. WTF do I do with it? I am connected via USB and it downloads as an .exe but does nothing. HP tells me to follow the onscreen instructions. There are none. I've searched for an .rfu file application, but can't get nowhere. I'm not a programmer or network tech, but I'm not stupid! Are there some instructions I can get in english?

Here is you instructions. The .exe file it refers to in the update instructions, i conclude is the dos command utility cmd.exe from what i see in the instruction that follows below. because it actually shows it uses the RFU file.
I never use usb for firmware update as the ftp method is so simple and quick. A laptop and crossover cable which all techs should have as tools should do this easily.

here is the instructions i found on hp website.
