    HP CLJ CM3530 Error 58.04 & 30.01.41

    Hi Folks,

So originally this machine was called in for a scanner code of 30.01.08, I replaced the scanner/adf unit. The unit sounded better and looked smoother when copying. Less than a week later, 30.01.41 popped up, and I updated the firmware to the latest from HP, 53.190.9 which i should have done first.

Then about a week later, the 30.01.41 code came back, and now another code 58.04, which isn't even in the service manual, yes manuals4you I have the manual already.

I'm leaning towards a new/updated DC Controller for the scanner error.

Has anyone had this problem with this model? I can't find the interpretation of 58.04 anywhere.

Did you ever find a resolution?

I'm having similar issue, though not getting the 58 error.
This is the second time we've replaced the Scanner Assy. and within a week the 30.01.08 and 30.01.45 codes are coming back... (The 30.01.45's ONLY come after a 30.01.08 in the Logs...)

I too have the SM already

We also experienced the 30.01.41 error, and resolved it by reseating all the connections.

Thanks Lance, those are a big help, especially in confirming what I was already trying.

We've replaced the entire scanner Assy. (including the SCB) Twice now, so I'm reaching out to the supplier of the parts.
Claimed they were pulled from functioning units and tested... but still same errors...

I'm trying these diagnostics now, well actually having somebody else do it as I'm hundreds of miles away...

Here's the Error history, any insight would be greatly appreciated...

See the Notes column for notes, and Description column shows where the Assy. was replaced, and the connections had to be re-seated...

I just added the latest history yesterday, which is everything above the Black Bar. (Which is why the numbering in left column changes)
Edit: trying to get the image in my message so that it is readable... in the meantime here's a link... 2018-06-14_12.54.55PM.png - Google Drive
