HP Color LaserJet 5550 Printer series

Hello
I have a problem with this machine, when I print configuration page it prints ok, when I print word file (text) it prints ok, BUT when I print a picture or *.pdf file the page that the printer prints is white, can you please help me to solute the problem ?

no, i am saying that the page is coming white whan i am sending to print picture of pdf file

if there was somthing that i whold know then i whont ask for help.
other whords, if the file is big then the page is coming out white.

Remove and reload the driver.

Network, USB or parallel printing?

What OS?

PCL or Postscript driver?

Try a different PDF program, Adobe has been getting flakey as far as printing to color boxes.

Try right clicking the file and print directly to printer without opening reader.

Make the 5550 the default printer.

Download latest and greatest driver, but don't replace older driver.

Check firmware levels

Just some thoughts and common solutions.

os windows xp
pcl or postscript i didnt check
i tryed to print from word by puting the picture inside and there still the same risolt

There have been issues with pdf files and print drivers. Delete the current print driver, reboot, and install the latest one. Update to latest firmware. Sometimes this has to be done twice for it to take. If you are not a technician and you are updating firmware, follow HP's instructions on their website EXACTLY. Failure to do it correctly will render your printer inoperable. Or save yourself the trouble and get a trained technician.

Are you using OEM cartridges? The pages that are printing, are they just Black and white? Send a word document with color printing.
