    HP Laserjet 2200D

hello to HP Experts, I am having a problem with the HP2200d when i send a job from my computer. There is a yellow light lit up and nothing prints. There is no lcd screen that tells me what error code it show. How do you view the error code on this model of HP?

    thanks in advance.

Do you hear the laser spin up? If it's very loud, you have a dying laser unit. If it's completely silent you have a dead laser unit.

Sometimes if it's still making the loud noise you can open up the laser unit, and without touching the polygon mirror remove the mirror set, and add a drop of oil to the air bearing. I've gained another 3 months to 1 year use of the mirror motor that way. but you'll eventually have to change the laser.

There are other possible causes, but this is the most common. And there isn't really much in the way of diagnostics on this old beast. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
