    HP 2840 cartridge problem

    Hello,

I have a HP 2840 with two problems:

    - At the beginning, there was no black ink on the copies.

So I remove cartridges to clean and have a look, but now:

    - Impossible to put the cartridges, turn the cartridge block is not correctly placed in front of the holes for the cartridges.

Do you have any idea what is urgent?

    Thank you and good day

See attachment for carousel alignment procedure:

There is a way to 'cheat' and not do an entire carousel disassembly. However, the risk is that you can break the large plastic gears on either side, then you WILL have to remove/repair.
See youtube. Search for it. IT WORKS!! SAVE TIME!

My opinion is take the time to do it right the first time (It's not that bad to take the covers off.), then you don't have to do it twice. But that's just me. If it works for you, more power to you. Damage the carousel, however is rendering the printer useless (which it pretty much is anyway) as it will not be cost effective to repair.

First check the alignment. If its on, then it's the solenoid.
