    HP LJ8100N, pickup rollers.

    HP LJ8100N, pickup rollers.

Have no experience with HP and haven't seen the machine myself yet since it is far away from my usual field of operation.

Customer complained by phone that the Manual Feed port as well as the 1st and 2nd cassette all have feeding problems. I would like to order all rollers and separation pads (if any) before I go there. The parts manual is for me confusing without having the machine in front of me.

Question: Which are the usual rollers/pads/torque limiters to change for this machine? Are there complete maintenance kits with everything for the take up systems? Would someone have time to get me the numbers for the necessary parts please?

    Lots of thanks in advance.

I don't service a lot of HP machines, but I always use partsurfer.hp.com. There are Maintenance Kits for this machines, but this machine was discontinued in 2007, so ordering parts can be difficult.

If you buy from Printer Works they assemble their own feed tire kits:
Printer Works - 8100-RK - Roller Kit, LJ 8100/8150 - available from The Printer Works.

      Or individually:
      (1) RB1-9526-000 Feed Bypass
      (1) RF5-2703-000 Separation Pad Bypass

      (2) RF5-1835-000 Pickup Tray #2 & #3
      (4) RF5-1834-000 Feed/Separation Tray #2 & #3

      =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If both main trays are jamming, it may need the feed assembly replaced. You can order this and it's pretty easy to install. It includes all rollers, clutches, etc. I deal with Jack at TSA in Norcross Georgia. Ask for him and he will help you as they are good with tech advice and parts.

Take a look at www.lbrty.com . They have alot to offer. If you use them, ask for Gonzo Cases. He our rep. and very helpful. If its HP stuff, they have it.

I had a similar experience, account was far away. I took the roller and sep pad for tray 1 ( MP Tray).
Turns out the clutch mechanism was bad in the tray 1 assy. Had to go all the way back. : (
