HP LJ 2100tn PJL Service Mode Commands

    Hello all,

I have a client with many retail outlets that are still using the HP LaserJet 2100tn. The problem is many of the 2100tn's have had the users tray setting changed back to the default settings and these units are deployed all over the network / storewide via HP JetDirect network cards - meaning someone at the corporate offices in Norcross GA can send a job or message to a printer in Charlotte NC (etc), if needed.

    Thanks in advance!

All my experience with PJL Printer Job Language has been from cutting & pasting little bits of code from data captures into other data captures to to add functionality. For example adding job accounting codes, paper size designations, tray selections, etc.

If you had said PostScript, PreScribe, or PCL Printer Control Language, I have manuals for those. But not PJL.

I just found this on the net: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/su...8/bpl13208.pdf

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That is only the first part of the manual. There is a 2nd part as well.

Thanks for the information - the problem on this HP LJ 2100 turned out to be board related, not the PJL Service Mode Commands. But I now know how to program and upload these commands.
