[Dead] HP OFFICEJET 6500A PLUS

hello tech people,
kindly assist with this problem i have on an hp machine officejet 6500a fax, copier and scanner when i power it only the scanner lamp comes on but the rest of the machine is not coming on.

I suppose you might try unplugging the machine and leaving it alone for a half hour or so and see what happens.
Still, a bit more information from you would be useful. Like if the machine was not operating correctly in some fashion before this error occurred, or if there was something unusual that happened in the environment the machine operates in.

tried switching it on as u suggested but nothing has changed, still scanning lamp is coming on.
