    laser jet 9000, 13.05 jam

Jam is at the transfer roller.
Paper looks to be going under the roller.
Machine has new registration assembly, paper input assembly
Have swapped the cartridge and transfer with a working machine

Called tech support and they pretty much were useless.

    What am I missing?

Possibly fuser; Is is on multi run?
Did you try one at a time until it jams? That way you will know better whats going on.

    13.05.00 JAM INSIDE FRONT DOOR
13.05.00 A page is jammed in the paper
    path at the fuser area.
Clear the jam in the indicated
    area.
     Closing the door will cause
the printer to attempt to clear
    the paper path.
If the jam persists, replace the
    print cartridge.
     Replace the transfer roller
    assembly.
     Replace the fuser.

      Hi,
if the fuser unit is doing a multirun how does it relate to the jam code mentioned and how does it relate to jam code 13.20 which often confronts me please throw light on the problem in question.
      thanks guys!

I hope this is the case: try a fresh ream of paper in case the paper loaded in the machine now has a curl that drives it underneath the transfer roller.
Then, take a look at the drive for the transfer roller to make sure everything actually meshes up properly.
If that doesn't help, look at the parts that hold the transfer roller in place. I haven't worked on that many LJ9000s, but on the machines I've seen more often it can be a significant task to replace those pieces. Which is why I hope it is just bad paper.

Before I replaced the parts it would jam from all trays, including bypass. I spent some quality time with it today. I retested all the trays and found that it would now work from the bypass, but when I used the trays I got jams and noticed some wrinkles on the paper. With a new paper input unit, the right side door became the only variable. I noticed about 1 or 2 millimeters play in the door. When I pry up on the door from the bottom, I got much better performance. I will go back tomorrow with some linemans pliers and try to bend the pins on the door hinge to tighten it up. .

I can't document it, but I seen to recall something about a fuser paper feed switch problem.

Nope, it was worn registration rollers. See here:

            Thanks prntrfxr. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

I went back yesterday and made adjustment to door so that there was no play in it when closed. Started testing it and got wrinkled paper and the same jam at transfer roller. I then swapped the fuser and cartridge with a working one from down the hall, still had problem. Then I removed the gate from the cartridge, in case the machine was not opening it all the way. I thought that it was fixed, as it then ran almost 100 2 sided pages with no problem, but then it jammed. I made sure I had fresh paper.

Then I started tested from the bypass tray and had no issues. Ran hundreds through with not 1 jam or wrinkle. I am thinking something with the door, but see nothing. I may try to swap it out today.

I had this same problem, replaced the same things, and it ran with a known working toner but still jammed.....it was a "drum drive motor"....the used toner was stirred and worn enough that what threw me off, but a new toner was harder to rotate for the failing motor.
