I have a 100% DEAD HP CM6040. Nothing happens at all when the power is switched on. No fans, no clicks, no beeps no lights. I have tried it in several wall outlets and confirmed them all good outlets with other printers and volt meters.
This printer was working but with a slight quality issue to the density when I received it. I had a high voltage power supply available to swap into the machine so i picked it down. Before replacing it i decided to remove and then re-seat the High Voltage power supply. At this point the machine refused to turn on, 100 DEAD. I have reseated every cable imaginable. Removed all accessories (paper folder stacker). Tried a engine test without the formatter. Replaced both the High Voltage power supply and the TRANSFER BELT power supply (This board connect outlet power source to the printer).
The on/off switch has been tested for continuity and passed so that's working also.
My next step is to start ordering parts, which is where things could get very costly. Any further troubleshooting I should try?
What part would you replace next and why ?
