I have a LJ4100 that says tray 2 size is custom, tray 3 is letter. I tried to restore factory settings but can't figure out how to get tray 2 to letter. It's configured as plain paper but I can't find where to change the size to letter. TIA

Re: LJ4100 Custom
I'm not sure about this model, but on many HP Laserjets you can just pull tray 2 out and push it back in and the machine will ask you to confirm or change the paper size and type.
Or just go to the paper handling menu. I know for a fact that works on Laserjets since the 5n. -
Re: LJ4100 Custom
It's common thing on the printers ... for end users to change that tray setting, and a million other little things just like this.
For example, one of my accounts consistently busts off the tray1 PE flag. As a consequence the machine always tries to take paper from tray1, especially when none is there. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
