    HP 4515 / 13.06 Code

    Hi,
In the last 6 weeks customer has been getting 13.06 codes(fuser output, paper stopped jam)about every 400 prints.I really havnt noticed anything that seems like it may be the problem.Up until this point machine rarely showed 13.06 code. How can I tell from the event log page which tray was feeding paper at time of code? From experience if you have had to deal with 13:06 codes on P4515 machines can you offer some imput as to what usually accounts for this type of code and jam
    THANKS ANDY

Replace The fuser; If you pull the fuser out it will be hard to turn= Not enough lubrication on film/ Heater element. Causing intermittent 13.06/13.05errors. Check the fuser drive gear also (Big Brown Gear).

Wild Bill is correct, it is the fuser. Just remove the sleeve. You will probably find that the grease has turned brown from rust build up.

Simply clean it up and re-apply grease. Has worked several times for me.

I'll endorse this approach. It's worked for me many times, even on recently purchased refurbished fusers. Be sure to use Uniflor fixing film lubricant: Results for UNIFLOR
For example, Chemplex will just run off and smoke.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
