    hp 4200 fuser film

    hi,
    im rebuilding some bad fusers and using some chinese films i bought a while back.
    does it matter which way it goes in?
    the black band is on gear side on one and the other way on the 2 other bad units?
    cant see any reason for it.

      I would look at a used oem and go with that since it was manufacture build.
      and some grease on the edges will help not to rip.

          On Hp and Canons you'll find either a black rubber roller on the shaft with the press roller, a grounding brush hanging from the upper frame, or an optical sensor which looks for a white patch and count rotation speed. Line up that black end with whichever of these features your fuser has. =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              hi.
              thats the problem im having my bad units im rebuilding have it going both ways.
              i know on the hp4000 there was a small ribbed rubber ring on the lower roller and i would
              reference that..
              i will check on the units i have out there and reference that.
              thnx always grease ends and bottom plate
