[Electrical] HP 9050 TRAY 4 NO POWER

I have an old hp 9050 that is giving me no signs of power. It is undetected by the machine. I checked the manual and I am not sure how to proceed. I believe the issue to be the part that supplies the power to the 2000 sheet feeder/ tray 4 but I am unsure whether I should replace the lvps or the main board.

    tray 1,2,3 works...
The formatter works great it just does not detect the tray 4 after cold reset and firmware update...
The connections between tray 4 and the rest of the machine are good...
I replaced tray 4 with a tray 4 that I know works and I am still having the same issue of no power...

I am checking if anyone has worked on these hp 9050 can shed a little light on this issue...

I have two machines with this issue...
The machines are located in trailers and may have been at constructions sites at sometime in their life for extended periods...

at this point, I would be looking at the connector that tray 4 plugs into when you set the two pieces together. Is it damaged?

yes check the connection from Printer to tray 4; I would check to see if voltage is getting to tray 4. If not that would be the power bd, machine side or the connecter as mentioned.

Hate to mention simple stuff but the 2000sh trays for these need their own power cable. The machine usually comes with a splitter for this are you sure the optional tray has a power plug in it. Also removing the back cover of the 2000sh tray ass you should see a couple of stickers inside the back cover that will allow you to run diagnostics on the unit. This can tell you if it it a powers supply or connectivity issue with the main unit.

checked the connector that supplies power... connector good on both ends... continuity across all wires... nothing broken... conector has wires that run to the engine board... next step is replace engine and failing that lvps... customer declined further work... could get refurb machine cheaper than what we were charging...
