    HP LJ4350

I've got an HP LJ4250dtn with an interesting hiccup.
When the customer sends a print job to the printer(it doesn't seem to matter what tray they decide to feed from), the printer prompts you to load the selected paper type and press the green check button.
The printer settings are correct.(com10 envelope feeder, tray 2 is 8.5x11 preprinted, tray 3 is 8.5x11 bond, and tray 4 is 8.5x11 plain).
All settings are shown as correct on the config page.
I've even tried a cold reset and nvram reset.
All of the selectors on the paper trays are set to standard not custom.
Is there some setting that I'm just not seeing?
The customer hasn't had this printer long and it has less than 6000 pages on it and they complain that it has always done this.
    Anybody have any ideas?

    Driver?

Did you try to re-install the driver?

Does it do it when you do a config page? If not then it is a driver. If so then it would be a setting. Try using the bypass, do you get the same results?

        "Manual Feed Plain Letter Paper"

Even the Configuration Page wants to come from the manual feed. I forget what the exact paper setting is called. It's something like "Manual Feed ON". Set it to OFF. As fixthecopier says, check the configuration page. That's how I found it.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks for the ideas guys, the manual feed setting is set to off, and the next time I'm out that way I'll try reloading the print driver and hopefully that will do it.

paper sensor for the mp tray could be bad or unplugged. machine may think there is paper loaded in the tray. set tray to cassette instead of first.
