hp p3005 blank screen during startup

Blank screen shows no sign of boot. all 3 lights are lit solid and it never shows anything on the screen no sequence at all.
Have replaced the formatter board in the past on this machine

Do the fans or motor start up?
What is the history of this machine? Why did you replace the formatter in the past?
How about an engine test, have you done that? Results?

Does this machine have expansion memory? When the machine boots the first thing it does is check the memory.

If yes, I would remove any expansion memory and try again to boot. If still blank I would say you have fried another formatter. =^..^=

yes fans work engine movement just nothing on the screen and no there is not exp board. No engine test as of yet.

Did you reseat the cable leading to the display?

Going to swap it with another from a parts machine

Have you tryed moving the printer to a nearby location...perhaps on a different circut.

I've found in a couple cases dirty, or borderline power has caused strange boot problems.

had this same problem with a 4250 and it was a formatter, but I was able to print a engine test page when the motors stopped running. Dont know if this helps, but try engine test again.
