    Hp color laserjet 4650 storage issue

    I have a cust with a HP color laserjet 4650 that is having a issue with storage. They will send over a 3 page doc and want 4 sets printed. The printer will print 1 set and then print out a " job storage status page"

    error- unable to store job at printer
    Reason- insufficient disk space for this job
    Solution- delete some files from the disk before resending this job

    i have done a nvram reset. Didn't change. I"m thinking memory dim, memory card, hdd, maybe formatter?
    firmware is at V.28.06.FF

    Anyone one had this problem before?

      Perhaps a driver setting will help you.

      There is usually a checkbox for "Print after entire job is spooled." or "Print job as each page is spooled." Use the second choice. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          I don't see any firmware updates for that machine, so the firmware that's on the machine now is going to have to do.
          Incidentally, I get firmware updates for HP here. If you are not in the United States you may have to look elsewhere on HP's website, though.
          Building on blackcat4866's recommendation, you might try a different driver.
          What are they trying to print when the machine has the error?

              It's a bank and they are printing stuff with text an some pictures. I have also had them print just text and still get the memory issue. I will have them try the spooling after each page. Another issue they had but is fix now was it would keep printing the same page until you stopped it. Then it would keep printing the next page until you stopped it. Copies in the printer were changed to 32000 somehow . So once I changed it to 1 it worked.

                  The setting changed to 32.000 was caused by someone playing with the buttons who changed it, didn't know it, didn't know how to change it back and will not admit to anything. I have had that call many times on different equipment.
