Ribbon cable on an HP LJ M4345 MFP

I'm replacing the scanner unit (whole flatbed assembly) on an HP LaserJet M4345 MFP. I've got the new scanner sitting on the platform and screwed down, but I'm having trouble with the ribbon cable/FFC that attaches to the scanner board on the back side of the scanner. The ribbon cable connector doesn't seem to have a door or slide like all other ribbon cables I've seen... is it hidden, or am I just missing something? I've tried pushing the ribbon cable in, but it won't seat all the way and I don't want to force it and break it.

    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Nevermind, I got it in, it just needs to be pushed but I didn't want to push too hard without making sure I was doing it right. All good now.

You are right to be cautious with ribbon cables. Some of the strangest problems I've ever had to solve were caused by damaged or poorly connected ribbon cables. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
