    Forms Printer 2591n+ (2591-510)

I've got this printer that the following lights are flashing when power is applied:

    Ready
    Paper Out
    Panel Lock (icon)
    Lock (lower left corner)

I found a document stating that if the Ready, Tractor 2, Paper Out & Panel Lock (icon) lights are flashing, the printhead is defective. I can't find what my code may be. I was guessing the main logic board. Can anyone give some advise, please?

    Thank You

I believe I found my answer. Couldn't find this in the manual earlier while onsite.

"Home Position Error Without Alarm". Possible power problem.

I wonder what they mean by "without alarm". I would think a home position error would mean the carriage isn't moving back and forth correctly.

According to that section, IF there is an alarm (Beeps 10 times), it says "Home Position Error -- Go to "Carrier service check""

What pertains to my specific situation it says "Home Position Error Without Alarm -- Go to "Power service check""

Just a final update on this one. Replaced the fuse on the power supply and the printhead. Running good again.

On to the next 2591. This one needs a new carriage. The gears that keep the ribbon moving are busted up.
