[Dead] Lexmark C734 False "Close front door" message

This machine has the message "close front door" when the door is closed. When you open and close the door, the copier will start to set up and then go back to the message. This tells me the door sensor is working and something else is malfunctioning. I have changed the fuser and the transfer assembly with no effect... Any help is so appreciated !!!

I had the same problem on a old c734. Piece of tape fixed it. The door hinges come loose after a while.


Either change the panel or tape it up tight. Watch out that you dont tape it too tight if you do to not hurt the drums.

Wasn't the LVPS by any chance? Had one of these give this message a while back.

Didn't get that far... Ran the test on the door sensors. They worked fine... Customer chose not to fix it...
