    Lexmark MX 711

    How to reset this fuser counter model (200,000 pages) by another method than changing the fuser to a new one.
    The fuser does not reset in the service menu (entering 2 and 6)

      Unfortunately, this model can not be reset from the service menu (the one with 2 and 6) From this menu you can only reset adf rollers and rollers from the trays.

      From the service manual:
      After replacing the maintenance kit, the maintenance count will automatically be reset to zero to clear the 80 "Replace
      maintenance kit "message. - it means that the fuser has a thermal resistance that burns when the new fuser

      Where is this resistance positioned and what value does it have?

        Information on the Lexmark website::

        ""Also, there is no way to manually reset the maintenance kit count. Therefore, only the proper fuser installation process should be followed.

        How to properly install the fuser and reset the maintenance count

        IMPORTANT! Do NOT install (hot plug) the fuser while the device is still powered ON. To properly install the fuser:

        Power off the printer and unplug it.
        Replace the fuser.
        Power the printer back on.

        This process should automatically (and properly) reset the maintenance count.""
