I have a CX410de that the USB port is broken. I saw one on ebay for $88. (OK so I'm an idiot) It's for a friend of mine... Looking through here I am seeing that it may not work since the boards are married to the machine.... Any feedback would be helpfull... Thanks

Re: CX 410DE can I swap controller board from another machine ?
There are usually 2-3 boards that are married to the machine. Only one board at a time should be tried, and as long as the machine is powered up in diagnostic mode - you should be ok. As long as your tests in diag mode are ok, then this new board will take on the "married" state."You can't trust your eyes, if your mind is out of focus" -- -

I can't be certain if the used board will marry to the receiving machine. You've already spent the money ... find out if it will. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I put the controller board in and turned on holding 3 & 6 the copier beeps once (No green light no lit touchscreen no fans) and that's it... The green LEDs are lit up on the board though. I put the old board back in it and it came right up to ready...Comment

Repaired boards from Hytec and from the manufacturer have been initialized, that is, they have been wiped clean and prepared for the marrying process. Your used board probably did not have that procedure done. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
