    Lexmark X746de color issues

Looking for some input on the Lexmark X746de MFP series. We are maintaining a number of these machines but don't have a lot of experience with them. We are having quality issues, and it appears the toner isn't fusing properly on the page. I have attached an image. It appeared magenta is the issue changed toner and better for a few pages then about the same. The customer is using Remanufactured toner, but has a few other machines that seem to be doing completely fine. This machine is only on the second set of toners. Any comments on this series of machines, especially reman toner would be very helpful. Setting the paper type to a heavy paper does help some.
    thank you.dutch kettle.jpg

    Stop using aftermarket toner?

I don't understand what people DON'T understand about aftermarket toner! Oh yeah.......it COSTS less.

Not all remanufactured toner will cause that issue but they can and the magenta often tends to do this. Try a different brand to see if it makes a difference or swap fuser units just to rule out that. In any case, using genuine toner or better quality reman toner is really the only way.

      Take away:

      Cheap is expensive!

Hey thanks redzventures, we have since switched to OEM for the time being and the issue went away. But we haven't completely given up yet on reman.
