you know that is a dinosaur? what is the actual problem that you need firmware?

The printer does not recognize any compatible toner.
It displays an "invalid refill error 30.04" even though the toner is at a 60% level. (The drum was replaced 2 months ago).
I proceeded to change the compatible toner. Even the new toner worked for 12-20 prints. Then the same error occurred again.
I accessed via the 2&6 menu and followed the instructions carefully, performing all the resets. The printer has no other problems. No correction. I spoke with a printer technical department and they suggested I downgrade the firmware I have. Somehow Lexmark did a firmware update and at some point, I found it has the latest one, which is LR.BS.P840. I found the company's LR.BS.P631j but I can't find anything newer, no matter how much I searched online. Therefore, I am asking for a previous version like LR.BS.P626 or 510 or 413 or any older version that doesn't check for chips. Unfortunately, only a technician with access to Lexmark's technical department can find it.

Are you saying that even OEM toner will not work now?

if you are trying to find firmware that doesn't recognize the chip. then you are not using lexmark toner. a lexmark copier is going to recognize it's own toner. if you don't have access to log into the lexmark site, then you need to have an actual lexmark tech. come take a look at your equipment. and with that thing being a dinosaur, you can't get very many parts for it. you would be better off buying a replacement.

From what I rememeber Lexmark does not keep old firmware versions on their service site for download like other manufacturers do. A dealer would have to request it. When asked why you need it and you tell them so you can get non-OEM toner to work I would say they would decline at that point.

The only reason they may give out older firmware is when you cannot update because the devices firmware is too old and you need an intermediate firmware level.
