Lexmark Optra LX+ 4049 service code 924 fuser error

I have a Lexmark Optra LX+ 4049

it has been an awesome printer for us over the past 10 years.

I bought it 10 years ago used with about 20k prints on it. Now it has something like 30-50k prints.

We only print a few pages a day with it but it has been the best little laser printer I've ever owned.

The other day, it popped up a service code

924 fuser error

can someone tell me what to look for

I have experience working on our larger toshiba color copier, I'm not a pro, but not a complete noobie either.

I don't have any service manual for the lexmark, so that is why I'm asking here instead of looking it up.

924 Fuser Error An open circuit has been detected in the Fuser
Thermistor Circuit.

You probably will need to replace de fuser ou fuser lamp.

Also check the vent.
