[CQ] HBP printing

Is HBP (HOST BASED PROTOCOL) PRINTING THE SAME AS WHAT Some VENDORS CALL GDI printing (graphic device interface)?

HBP is any printing rendered entirely by the PC with the commands being sent to the printer. GDI is simply the Windows version of HBP.
