    X748DE Overtoning Black

    Hi Everyone

    Sorry in advance for such a dumb question but i have one of these colour printers near new with a very light black shade all over the page. Im not familiar with lexmark but had to work on this. All help much appreciated. Havent replaced or done anything as dont really know what to replace first but i guess blk drum and dev will prob be done followed by lv/ hv board

    There are only two quality components for each color: drum unit & toner cartridge. That's it. It's usually the toner cartridge that causes this type of problem, but if it's not... what else is next? =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Thanks for your help Black cat. I have alot of years working on Ricoh but nil on Lexmark and do realise what you are saying but from what i have seen on lexmarks being the crap they are sometimes its not that simple but thats what i intended to do as i said
