    SP4210 speed

I threw this printer (it's a Lanier 37N, crosses to the ric 4210) in on a copier deal for a small warehouse office. Customer called and said people were complaining it was slow. Not sure if that means spooling to printer or actual output. Waiting for them to get back to me with more information. Their IT people set it up. They are using the Lanier PCL6 driver.

I used this in my office for a few months and it was great! But I had it connected USB they have it on network. Very fast and almost instant from computer.

Are there any settings to make it faster? Perhaps add memory, has 256mb can only increase to 512mb. I was thinking maybe it was going to sleep too fast? I remember it use to take a while to come out of sleep mode and warm up.

    Thanks in advance

    Cyclic rate 36 ppm (A4 - SEF), 37 ppm (LT - SEF)
Warm-up Time 19 sec or less (12sec or less from Energy saver mode)
If already warmed up, First Print 6.9 sec or less

Specs are from the product support guide.

If was set up by they're IT check the port, WSD from Windows make slow prints, also install the driver from Ricoh and not the Windows class driver.

Increase the time to enter into sleep mode and set it to fast response instead of energy saving.

Thanks Tecnicopia. Exactly what I was looking for. A few setting to try. If it works it works if not they will have to get use to speed because they didn't pay for printer! Like my original post I threw this in on a copier deal.
