    Recycling old Ricoh Copier

    Hi everyone,

I have a Ricoh Machine in San Jose/Milpitas that we've been using for little over a year and machine itself is Ricoh MP C5000. While it works, I had it posted for sale for $100 on Facebook and Craigslist. So far have not had much luck. So I was thinking of recycling it to make space for a new machine.

Can you recommend a service that can help me do this?

The only potential buyer is a person trying to keep their 12 year old copier working just a little longer. The person you're looking for has collected a few of these for parts, and if it's still working it will be worth the $100 to that person.

I'm not your buyer, but posting here is a good start. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I think I would just try to give it away for free but the giftee is in charge to pick it up. On the other hand, if you buy a new oir refurb printer from a local dealer they might help yo to get rid of that dinosaur^^

Do a google search for tech/pc/computer/electronics/copier recycling in your area. Around here we a nonprofit that will pretty much take any tech/office related things and if they can't use them, refurb them, or place them for free they will strip everything down and recycle the plastics and metals, etc. The only drawback is some stuff they won't come and pick up.

If you're actually gonna buy/lease a new machine you might be able to negotiate the dealer take away the old one, then they'll throw it in a bulk sale to copier exporters in large containers most likely.
