I need an exposure lamp for a Sharp AR-168D. Sharp only sells the entire carriage unit assembly. Katun's equivalency chart shows the Toshiba E-Studio 162D to be the same machine.

As far as I know, the only way to get this lamp is to order the scanner assembly, and I have ordered a few. Just be more careful cleaning the optics. At least thats how I broke the lamp. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks Blackcat. You got it right. I was trying to slide the optics unit for cleaning and yes I did put pressure where I should not have. It was late in the workday, I had already tried to put the repair off until the next day.... thankfully, I had an AR153 at the shop that I could borrow from. I'll look awhile longer for a parts machine somewhere before spending something like $135 for a new assembly.Comment
