Anyone have access to a service manual for this machine, I need to know what this error code is(031300312e23) I guess it's supposed to be a cutter problem code. and I'd like to know how to go about getting in and out of it. THANKS

I have to replace the cutter motor on this machine. To replace the whole cutter unit you are supposed to drain the ink before you start, I only have to install a new motor on the cutter unit, is it still necessary to drain the ink first??? ThanksComment

I already have a motor for the cutter on order thanks, do you know is it necessary to do an ink drain before I can replace the motor??? I know you need to drain the ink if your doing the whole cutter assembly but do you have to when only doing a motor???Comment

I wouldn't. You'd just be throwing away $200 worth of ink and maintenance cartridge. Maybe HP just wants you to buy more ink? Sounds stupid. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
