I am looking for a service manual for a Sharp SF-2030. We got a call on it and it has an F2 code. If you know anything about these machines please let me know.
Thanks
F2 if memory serves me right is normally process control i.e. drum unit, check the life of the drum, replace if needed and reset in 24-7, clean the sensor in the drum unit and set up the ir pots (i think that might have been the 2022/2035) and run 44-2. Been a few years since i touched one of these so not sure about the 2 white pots on the front of the drum unit, clean the optics and set up 46-01.
You need the rest of the code. Hold down the print button to see the other two digits F2-_ _. Banginbishop is correct in that it is process control, but without the other two digits we don't know specifically what.
pjdbm is also correct in that its a bad idea to adjust the ID & Drum Mark sensors without knowing what code you have, with old supplies, and without knowing how to adjust them.
When you get the rest of the code, get back.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
F2 is probably caused by the drum mark sensor. Please check if the drum mark on the drum is not scratched otherwise F2 will display. On the other hand you have to press and hold the print key to see the sub code number in order to diagnose and see what causes the trouble. Blackcat is correct. Plase follow his suggestion also.
