    7 Series Paper Tray Size Recognition Issues

    Anyone else seeing paper size detection problems on color & mono 7 series machines.

    In the cassettes. 1 had letter loaded and said 5.5 x 8.5 the other was 11 X 17 and had ?? marks displayed.

    Also had problems with the mono 7s cassettes as well.

    Found a few solutions but not much info as of yet.

      I have run into this issue on many bizhub 227s and c227s. Usually the 2 screws on the tray need to be adjusted and it works after. I read a bulletin about an issue at the factory where they werent set correctly. I havent seen the issue comeback once adjusted. Hope this helps

          I'm interested. Which two screws? Pictures please? =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  A few have worked after centering the screws.....some have not.


                  Those star washers remind me of fixes I used on 7020 series cassettes.

                      Also the wiring to the sliding block on the rear can break causing size errors.
