    C3350 Touch Screen

    Hi all
Does anyone know if there is a part number for the front touch screen (digitiser) not the whole display
ive 1 that is playing up i have calibrated and cleaned it several times
but it still either takes several attempts to get it to react to touch or it just doesn't bother
i can only find a part number for the whole display

    Thanks in advance

    Should be under warranty no?

    The medication helps though...

Konica Minolta released a bulletin on this symptom. I am not where I can retrieve it at this time. They are saying it is a faulty memory chip on main board. re-seat or replace.

It was a Tech Bulletin, Said to remove memory module, reboot copier, Op panel should function if it was a bad module. You can leave it out till you get a new one in.

Thank you for all the responses

it is less like a screen lock out more like a lack of sensitivity
mainly the top left hand area
the screen will respond but it may take 5 or 6 presses in the area to get it to work
i will look at the memory module later and let you know if it fixes it

We have hundreds of these machines in one building - dozens have had the panels replaced already. Failure is not uncommon.

removed the memory module didn't fix this fault
i can only find part number for the whole screen
is there a separate part number for the front digitizer screen or do i have to get the whole thing

                      Re: C3350 Touch Screen

We have had a failure rate on touch screens of 75% on the first batch of 12 machines that we received. 9 out of 12 machines (was a very early batch of machines) have thus far had panel replacements. We have found that fw updates did not solve the problem.

                        Hi

Would you be able to post or email this bulletin? We have a similar problem with the Olivetti MF3300 and Ive asked technical support if they can get me that bulletin, but they cant!

                        Thanks

The bulletin says it's due to the expansion memory. If you remove the expansion memory and the lock-ups stop then replace the expansion memory.
