    black and white pages counted as colour clicks for KM Bizhubpress C1085

    Hi
    When i print a file with multiple pages some black and some colour in 'auto colour mode' enabled in printer driver. All the pages are counted as colour .I print mostly from pdf and corel. Any suggestions to make the black and white pages counted in black .

      Not sure you can do that with mixed Color and B&W documents? Think it counts all as color if even one document is color and all the rest are B&W. Don't think the machine can determine if color or B&W for clicks, only what you select? Maybe someone that knows that model better can answer ?

          there may be a setting in the driver or application that will prevent this however short term fix is use foxit reader to print mixed PDFs.
          every time i ran into this foxit was able to properly isolate black from color clicks.
          you didnt mention if there is a Fiery or standard controller.
          We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
          The medication helps though...

              i am having ic 602c controller. I will try with foxit on Monday. I ve heard on the 8000 controller it works fine black is counted as black . wonder what the setting on this one.

                  Are you selecting any options like booklet mode. I had a similar issue a few years ago where just the cover was color but the entire job was counted as color because they were also selecting booklet mode or something like that. Try running the job with no options. Straight single sided, no staple, no frills, no thrills.

                      Read up on that machines Auto Color Selection or ACS.

                          i am printing just straight jobs no frills ,nothing . just a file with 100 pages duplex thats all some pages colour some black and white .
