Install the GDI drive in the computer as indicated in the section rewrite the firmware.
When I click on update it gives me that message.
I have to enter the technical service mode of the machine to receive the new firmware.

What are you asking? How to enter service mode or need Firmware? Perhaps someone else will tell you how but personally I don't give that information out, especially to a NON contributer. An end user can do too much damage in the service mode. FYI the last FW for that old model was around 7- 10 yrs ago!

There are some on here that give out this info thinking it makes them look good but actually makes us all look bad.

Not saying you can't work on your own machine or maybe you are a tech. Either way a small contribution helps this site and members here will share manuals, F/W & their knowledge more easily.

so you installed device driver.

You then connected to copier with a usb cable then launch UpdateFW.exe

you dont need to go into service mode to update the firmware
