C253 No Compact XPS

I have a C253 where the compact xps format isn't available for scanning.
I have upgraded the fw from version from J8 > K7 > R4. It works fine on other machines w FE3 firmware, but not on this one.
Have anyone else had this?

Compact XPS is only available on the C415, C550 or C650.
This is indicated in the manual and the specification sheet.

I'm sitting in front of one of our c253's with j8 firmware and under file types for scan, compact pdf and xps are separate formats for scanning but are available.
Have you tried R5 firmware yet?

Solution

CAUSE: Incorrect setting.
SOLUTION: Please change the setting of dipswitch as follows in order to use Compact XPS. SW No.78: 0x00 => 0x01
Note : Please be sure to use version 3.1.030000 or later when using PageScope Box Operator.
