Bizhub pro C500: black toner not adding

    Hello!

in Bizhub pro C500 black toner not adding to developer unit (or adding in too small quantity).

in 80-100% black areas developer comes to paper.

if i manually add some toner to developer unit, prints become normal.

what unit i have to check or replace?

    Thank you,
    Andrey.

    Hey,
First we need to know if it IS or IS NOT adding Black toner. you should be able to verify this quickly. then we go from there. if adding(toner motor is functioning and ie control signals) when was developer(bk) replaced? if just replaced tone up picture and recalibrate black sensor. if your developer is worn, CHANGE IT!!! then recalibrate. if you are NOT adding black toner AT ALL, then you need to verify your elec/mech areas ie are control signals present ? is there a blockage preventing toner flow ect.. get back to I and w'ell go from there. need to know the BASICS first!!! Hi!

that is the question - how to find out, adding or not?

can i turn on this motor from service menu or something like that?

or print 100 "black rectanges" and weigh up toner bottle?

developer is new, i changing it before posting this message, and i try to recalibrate sensors - no effect.

of course i can measure signal on board or on motor, but maybe there is a simpler way?

      thank you.

        Hey,
if you have changed developer and tried to recalibrate then you were able to swing your toner chest open before you pulled out your process unit. ck your toner line for obstructions, run some heavy black shots and see if toner is getting to your dev tank possible you have a bad toner sensor telling copier that all is well in black dev , swap black tank to ck this and work backwords j

So, i check the toner bottle.

weight is the same after many prints, and bottle is in same position, as installed.

ALRIGHT LETS ASSUME THAT YOU ARE NOT ADDING TONER. FIRST I WOULD SWAP BLK DVUNITS (RECALIBRATE FOR NEW UNIT) THEN RUN SOME HEAVY BLACK SHOTS IF YOUR FADING RETURNS THEN YOU HAVE A problem with your hopper or control circuitry. you should be able to quickly verify if you are getting correct signals@ hopper. good luck jp

              regards,
