Step	Cause	Remedy
1	New toner actuator coming off	Reattach the new toner actuator.

3	Relay front PCB failure	Replace the relay front PCB ASSY.
4	Main PCB failure	Replace the main PCB ASSY.

<User Check>- Set the toner cartridge correctly.- Replace the toner cartridge with a new one.

2	Relay front PCB failure	Replace the relay front PCB ASSY.
3	Main PCB failure	Replace the main PCB ASSY.

Wondering if anyone has seen this issue before?. Printer is located in a church & gets used a lot. We’ve tried new toners (genuine) & new imaging units but the device keeps asking to replace toner! Not sure what else to try.

Try this Brother trick with machine asking for toner, message Replace toner.
Open front cover. Put your finger in place where arrow down is(right of home) and wait until reset menu appears. Choose toner capacity and confirm.
If message is No toner that's another story.

Thanks for the tips. I wasn't aware there is a New toner actuator or Toner amount detection sensor so hopefully as simple as that.

I can see the toner detect sensor PCB in the manual but not the actuator ?

The brother service manual has many more pages than the konica one.



The sensor is in Relay PCB ASSY inside the machine o will see the plastic actuator.

Konica 5000i i think is Brother HL-L6400

you can try this procedure to reset the toner. In this procedure the printer cannot be receiving jobs

(1)Open the front cover.
(2)Hold down the [V] ( down arrow) key for about 2 seconds.
(3)Press the key of the toner cartridge for which the counter is to be reset.
(4)Press the [Yes] key.
(5)Close the front cover.

Don't you have to manually meaning mechanically reset the toner on those?

That shows one way its done.
Don't know if that applies to the KM version.
