    Dead C364

Hello guys. Got a C364 that received a lighting strike through the customer's network (at least that is what I figured since almost he's entire network -switches and router was fried). Changed power supply - nothing, not one led on MFPB was lit. Changed MFPB and controller - now there is a led lit on MFPB and the cpu fan is on. Nothing else. Changed board - nothing. Before that I disconnected all options. Also disconnected HV and scanner board. Still nothing. Any other ideas? Thanks.

if it's been hit by lightning, then i wouldn't waste my time, the customer should claim on his insurance and replace it, even if you do get it going, there is no guarantee in 6 months you won't get other problems .
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

It's not about repairing the machine to use it again. I somehow got some spare time and some C364 with over 1.5 mil pages sitting aroumd, waiting to be sent to recycling plant so I have spares. I was just puzzled about what could happened. As I change almost all the boards (or at least disconnected them) but still nothing, not even a blink of the control panel. Customer already bought another machine (second hand but still good) so no problem here. I was just puzzled about it. What board am I missing?

Lightning strike could of potentially killed everything in the machine, including wiring loom, control panel.

Have you tried to install Firmware as you said there is now power?

Changed all boards (power supply mfpb, controller eMMC scanner and control board). Those boards came from a working machine so it should at least boot and throw some error codes. With all the boards from the other machine, only one led lights (on mfpb) and cpu fan spins (with original board not even that). Basically I swapped all electronics from one machine to another.

Did you swap the SSD over from the Lightning strike machine?

No, I swapped the board with it's own ssd board. All boards are matched, since they came from the same machine. That is what puzzles me. It should at least do something. But no.

Did you swap printer control board (right to the MFP board)? It might be dead also!

All the boards were swapped together. Including the small one under developing units and the display). My logic was it should start because I know for sure the donor is working. But nothing, not even the display, no codes, absolutely nothing. Checked some voltages and it appears the power supply doesn't deliver 2 specific rails (5V and 24V).
On the other machine it does so I'm guessing something doesn't tell the supply to start those 2 rails. But right now my only guess somewhere there might be a cable shorted or broken. But I'm not pursuing this, that's already too much. I was curious to find what damage was done. It appears it's totalled.
So thanks to all of you for your time and ideas but it's scrap yard for this C364.

If you change board by board, you must do so with the printer running to perform according to the service manual.

In your case, I understand that you brought exactly everything from another printer to yours. In this case, all boards would be:
MFPB, PRCB, DCPS, SCDB, FRB, SSD, HDD.
You should also remember the small board located behind the HVB.

Any combination failure will display C4801 when the machine turns on.

All the boards at the same time. My idea was to at least see the machine running. Then swap controller, power supply and control board (and deal with the codes after). I knew for sure the MFPB was fried.
