Does it has the large feed trays on the right side of the machine? I think this is only supported threw the bypass tray. Not even sure if this box supports it.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

As far as im aware the machine doesnt support banner printing.

I think you may be mistaken but if you think you are correct then ask the other site how they print on banner paper.

Just looked up paper sizes and they are the same that stirton.m has already posted.

I have found an instruction regarding the 6500/5500, but it may work on the 6501 either:

Banner printing works only with the SMART Version and with the IC408

If a Finisher is attached, you have to remove it, inclusive disconnecting the cables.

Then set Dipsw 10-0 to 1, and 10-1 to 0

Enter your sheets in the bypass, adjust the paper size in the printer driver and strat printing.

              Good Luck

May i ask what is the "smart version"?

Do you mean the standard setup without all the optional finishers? or are you referring to specific firmware?

SMART version is with the "little" RIP ic 408, with maximum the little paper deck and copy tray or max one finisher.

                  No special firmware.

                    I have installed IC408
But in the printer setting paper size is 487 maximum lenght
                    How I can modify this?
And where I find settings for Dipsw? In printer adjustments?

                    Thanks

Contact your service rep. Dipsw are accessible through the tech rep mode, and incorrectly modifying these switches can cause alot of serious damage to the machine.

The problem is: My service rep is not happy to help me to print on banner.
                        I spoked about this.

You are right with the PRO version, but not with the SMART version, as i said before... but, adipletsou, there are changes in service mode necessary, and if your tech refuses to do it, there is no chance for you. I will refuse to tell you as a non tech how to enter service mode and mess evtl. the whole mashine up.

Then fire him. If the machine's capable of doing something and the tech is too lazy, ignorant or pigheaded to make it work, he/she needs to be put back in the shop as a setup/bench technician.
