C450 with C2253 error code..>>

I have changed the dev drive motor as well as the image drive motor and went as far as replacing the board stack in front of the motors (complete from another C450) but the error code persists. I also found the timing adjustments when you replace the motors - did that and still no joy?!

Any info will be appreciated!

Remove all color image units and reset the code. When it boots back up you should be prompted to insert the image units. Insert them 1 at a time. The code will reappear on the unit that is failing. It may just be the image unit, but don't forget there are 2 dev motors and 2 i/u motors, 1 each for black and color. Focus on the color. Also check sensor inputs on the color phase control. you may just have a dirty/failed sensor, or broken actuator.
Most times i've seen this code it's been an image unit, because they were either shipped or stored incorrectly (i.e. upside down, or on their end)
