Had the error C-3101 a week ago. It was time for a fuser rebuild so I serviced it and rebuilt. This cleared the error code. Now a week after running I have the C-3101 code again. Can anyone tell me anything about it? It doesnt seem to be the fuser motor. I've checked for paper trash or what not on the sensors in the fuser.

It all points either to the motor or to the driving board. There are other motors on the machine (pages 90 and 234 of the Parts Manual PDF) that you can swap with the fuser motor to see if the trouble code changes.' "But the salesman said . . ." The salesman's an asshole!'
