Konica Minolta C452 will send but won't receive

Him have a Konica Minolta Bizhub C452. I connected a fax kit. The machine is able to send but not receive can anyone help please???

have you tried another fax lead, we used to have lots of problems with the leads that were supplied...

how about hooking up a handset to the line and trying that...easiest way to rule out machine......
Might try an initialization of the fax as well.....

Thank you for your reply. The line is fine because we tried another fax machine to that line and worked fine.

Thank you for your reply. I tried another fax machine and that worked fine. Generally I always try a handset or another machine like you said it is the best way to rule out the machine.

Is the customer using a VOIP line, or a "digital" fax line? We have had similar problems with customers using analog-to-digital converters. Try lowering the transmission speeds to 9k and test it out.

They are using PC fax set up, but they realised that may have been the problem.. So they ran the fax line direct from the wall socket. No good.

Did you follow a set of set up instructions or did you just throw a board in?

I initialised the board like I've done previously with other machines and had worked fine. This machine used to have a fax board installed, untill the board was removed so the customer ordered another board then I went out and installed it. Done the inicialisation the machine sent and received on the same day. Then the following day the machine would send but not receive.

The marketing area is in the machine 1 settings of service mode. If I'm remembering correctly.

I had two different machine at two different locations recently have a similar issue. Sent but not receive. A bizhub 200 and a muratec fax. I carry a phone with me and hook it up the the wall. I get a good dial tone and then I go to call my cell phone and see on the caller ID that it is not the fax number. I ask the customer if they recognize the number and it turns out to be their telephone number. One place had a company come in earlier to switch some extensions around and other things. Told them to have someone check it out. Happened about a week ago and never hear back from them.

Of course if you try another fax machine and it works then that is a different situation.
