    C352 Fuser Popping

    Hi Guys,
I have had several of these in the last month or so where the fuser looks perfect but makes a popping noise. I watched the fuser during warm up and I can see the gears on the fuser popping and not turning properly. After replacing the fuser I have looked at the old fuser and I can not find anything wrong. It turns freely and there is no gear damage. Hoping someone knows what the issue is so perhaps I can use the old fuser if something can be fixed.
    Thanks

    Re: C352 Fuser Popping

Most likely is a gear broken, put some pressure on the rollers, with your bare hand or something else and rotate the fuser, one gear is damaged and when the fuser is in the copier and warm ,the gear material expand and make noise in function process.
    Sorry for my bad english.

Turned out to be the cracked Fuser Drive Gear holder assembly. I have ordered the shaft holder assembly and the "kit" that is supposed to prevent the breakage from occurring. This "fix" was applied to some later serial numbers of C352's from the factory.
