[Jamming] bizhub c280 with 72-16 jams

Intermittent and only on 2 sided copies. Page makes it though fuser but gets folded as it enters next baffle ( like lead edge is hitting baffle and folding over ). This is actually an OCE machine but same as bzc280. Paper quality ??

    Hello teckmate,

try checking fuser exit section, there is maybe some condensation water on the black baffle.
    Maybe damp paper?

      72-xx jams are finisher jams.

What finisher is installed on this machine ?

Test from each tray and see if it exclusive to happen with only one. There was someone else that had the issue and it was the LCC tray out of alignment.

Try removing that bridge unit, the inner transport unit. Clean the conveyance rollers off. Had some like that that would jam paper. Dirty rollers In there wouldn't grip.

Could be failed switchback gate control.

Check the switchback gate for dragging, staying up or increased tension and replace Switch Solenoid (SD1) if necessary (p/n 9321 2200 32).

Check/inspect the Pulling Spring. If the pulling spring has failed, replace it (p/n A00J 8938 00).

in my case it was reg roller sensor, which actuator doesen`t work properly.

Hi teckmate. Did you manage to fix this issue? If so are you able to shed some light as to your fix. I currently have a C360 doing the exact same thing. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've found 9/10 this is a paper issue, if the paper is damp or of poor quality it will curl, especially on duplex, then will jam, usually after the fuser or in this case the finisher.

So you get j7216 finisher or j3205 fuser jams
