they were able to reboot before and it would go away. now it comes right back. and of corse after i replaced the web and sponge. Intravia book said fuser/ feeder drive motor. i see the diagram has two motors. i was initially thinking it was the one next to the green jam clearing knob on the outboard of the fuser. does anyone know if that code is caused by the motor and which one? the parts book shows the one by the green know as FH6-1944 (motor DC 24Vand the rear is FH6-1723 Motor stepping. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you and have a nice evening, Jim

upper fuser rollers can cause the e014 too. This box is an oven, change your bearings at least before a motor.Comment

Re: Canon IR 5000S error E000014-0000 fuser drive motor malfunction??
great ideas guys. i also had a IR 5570 with a pinched wire below the motor and it was throwing a ? web or shutter code. and i thought that the fuser was easy to turn. i will check that. that is so common in old school. guess i am officially in "old school " now that this Friday makes exactly 37 years that i have been sniffing toner. i will let you guys know the outcome. thank you so much for the assistance. it is very much appreciated. For anyone else doing this, never change bearings without putting in new bushings too!Comment

Re: Canon IR 5000S error E000014-0000 fuser drive motor malfunction??
Actual fixing motor failures were much more common on the iR-550/600, the previous series. I too, have never seen a fixing motor fail on an iR-5000/6000, but those machines were only 4 or 5 years old when I moved on to Sharp. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
