    6136 and MIC-4160 - cant get them to talk...

    clean install with new hard drive on the fiery.

    is there any place i have to set the IP for the engine side?


    also note i can not format the hard drive, or go back to the internal controler.
    i have tried.

    i suspect HDD2 is bad or failing.


    anyone ever see this....
    fiery goes ready, as soon as engine turns on fiery EXITS and wont come back.

    using a crossover cable, any one see the display port cables go bad?
    so weird....


    pulling my hair out today for sure.

      Make sure DIP switch 40-7 is set to a 0 to allow for a 3rd party print controller.

      Maybe there is some kind of conflict there?

          Fixed, needed to let fiery update all patches, unplugged from engine.

          seemed to keep the fiery online whereas keeping it connected kept making it disconnect.


          working well... minus the internal error-2 on the hard drive.
